Overview
Casa Techno (@casatechn8) is a house and techno collective in Monterey, California, putting on Boiler Room-style club nights. Casa Techno hired IM Media to design, build and run its website and to create launch promo for its first event. It was our first official client project, and we still maintain the site.
After two weeks of planning, mockups and development, IM Media launched casatechn8.com on October 4, ahead of Casa Techno’s first night.
The brief
Launch a site for a brand-new collective before its first night:
- Give the event a home
- Drive ticket sales to Resident Advisor
- Introduce the DJs
- Look like the club experience itself
Then keep the site and promo current through the run-up to the event.
The event was Event 001, “Under the Same Groove”: Saturday, November 7, 2026, co-presented with Tuned Tunas at 2232 Del Monte Ave, Monterey (21+), with tickets sold only through Resident Advisor.
What we built
- Pages: Home, Events, a page for each event, Artists, a profile for each of the six DJs, About (the manifesto), Privacy, Terms, Event Policy and Giveaway Rules.
- Home: an animated LED dot-matrix sign with the event title and a live countdown to doors, above a lineup ticker that reacts to scroll speed.
- Event pages: a spec sheet (date, doors, venue, entry, hosts), the lineup as mixing-desk “channel strips” with set times, a venue block with a map link, add-to-calendar (.ics and Google Calendar), a share button and schema.org event data for search.
- Ticketing: buy buttons and a sticky buy bar that link to Resident Advisor. One status switch flips the whole site to sold out.
- Per-event styling: each event carries its own palette and theme.
- Artist profiles: photos processed at build time, bios, genres, notable venues, Instagram links and a share image for each DJ.
- Share images generated for every page and event.
- The details: mobile-first, reduced-motion fallbacks, back and forward scroll restoration, no cookies and privacy-friendly analytics.

The full home page: hero, lineup ticker and lineup. Built mobile-first; the LED sign reflows for phones.

Every event gets a card; ticket status updates site-wide from one switch.

Event 001’s page: countdown, sold-out state and spec sheet.

The lineup as channels, each with set time and Instagram handle.

Each DJ gets a profile with photo, genres, bio and links.

The manifesto: 'Different DJs. One dance floor. One shared groove.'
Design & promo
All of this was made by IM Media:
- Site identity: an LED, club-hardware look. Neon green (#39FF14) and orange on near-black, with Doto dot-matrix display type, Bricolage Grotesque and Martian Mono.
- Print: the Event 001 flyer and a house rules flyer.
- Instagram: launch, lineup, set-times and sold-out posts, and artist spotlight carousels.
- Ticket giveaway: an edit for Instagram plus the official rules page on the site. The prize was two free tickets, and the winner was announced on October 29.
- Sticker designs for Event 001.
- Merch concepts and mockups: T-shirts, crewnecks, a hoodie, totes, lanyards, USB sticks and small accessories in the Casa Techno LED identity.
